Colloquium and Judicial Observation – International Delegations at the Istanbul Bar Association

Following their participation in the international colloquium organized by the Istanbul Bar Association on May 27, 2025, several international delegations attended the criminal hearings held on May 28 and 29, relating respectively to the case initiated against the Bar’s President and Council Members, and the separate case concerning Council Member Fırat Epözdemir.

The hearings were followed by a working meeting held at the Bar Association’s headquarters, in a spirit of solidarity and institutional exchange.

We were also pleased to receive for the first time representatives from the Union of Young Lawyers of the Kinshasa Matete Bar (Democratic Republic of Congo), including a delegate of the Union of Bar Associations in Africa. Colloquium et observation judiciaire – Délégations internationales au Barreau d’Istanbul

À la suite de leur participation au colloquium international organisé par le Barreau d’Istanbul et l’Union des Barreaux de Turquie le 27 mai 2025, plusieurs délégations internationales ont assisté aux audiences pénales des 28 et 29 mai. Celles-ci concernaient respectivement la procédure pénale dirigée contre le Bâtonnier et les membres du Conseil de l’Ordre, et le procès distinct de Me Fırat Epözdemir, membre du Conseil.

Ces audiences ont été suivies d’une réunion au siège du Barreau, dans un esprit d’échange confraternel et de solidarité institutionnelle.
